Stitchwise
Privacy Policy

Back to homeOverview
Stitchwise (com.maxiteer.stitchwise), published by Maxiteer, is an offline Android cross-stitch tracker. It has no account system or remote backend. The app does not collect or transmit your personal data to us and does not include ads, analytics, tracking SDKs or automatic crash reporting. Chart conversion runs on your phone.
Information the app stores
The app stores imported chart content, pattern names, stitch progress and daily stitch records, thread inventory, shopping needs, purchase receipts, notes and preferences in private storage on your Android device. Selected files and camera images are read through Android's system pickers and camera app; no broad storage or camera permission is requested by Stitchwise. The app does not request internet access.
How your data is used
Your data is used only to provide the app's features, including recording information, showing summaries, managing app content, and supporting local backup or export actions that you choose to use.
Data sharing
We do not receive, sell or share your stored app data. When you explicitly share a file or send a support email, the selected app or service receives the content you choose. Support email drafts contain the app/schema version, not your patterns or inventory; anything else you include is voluntary. We use support correspondence to respond to your request and retain it only as needed to handle that correspondence.
Backups and exports
ZIP backup and restore, inventory/shopping CSV export and .oxs chart export are manual actions. You choose the destination through Android. A cloud document provider or sharing service you select handles those files under its own privacy practices. Stitchwise has no automatic cloud sync and disables Android automatic app-data backup. Exported files are not password-protected by Stitchwise; save them somewhere you trust.
Retention and deletion
Local app data stays on your device until you remove it, clear app storage in Android Settings or uninstall the app. Clearing storage or uninstalling removes the app's private data. Original files, shared copies and exported backups outside private app storage remain until you delete them separately. Keep an external backup before changing phones or uninstalling if you want to keep your records.
Security
Because your information is primarily stored on your device, protecting access to your data also depends on your device security, such as screen lock and storage protections.
Children's privacy
The app does not collect personal data from users of any age. If a child sends personal information to our support address, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its deletion.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. When changes are made, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
